Inventory-based businesses are changing faster than ever. From new channels to new suppliers, SKUs, and fulfillment partners, the modern operator managing physical goods is dealing with more complexity than any previous generation.
The ERP category was built to solve exactly this problem, and over 50 years, it’s quietly become one of the largest software markets on the planet. But it’s also become one of the lowest in customer satisfaction: implementations take years, consultant bills run 3-9X the cost of the software itself, and systems can’t adapt as fast as the businesses they’re meant to serve.
We believe this should no longer be true. At DOSS, we’re building the Operations Cloud. It’s not simply a better version of what came before, but something the industry hasn't seen: a system that actually adapts to how your business grows, in real time, without the lag or bloat of legacy ERPs.
Today, we’re excited to share that we’ve raised a $55M Series B, co-led by Madrona and Premji Invest, with Greyhound, Commerce Ventures, and Intuit Ventures as new investors, and continued investment from Theory, General Catalyst, Contrary Capital, Mintaka, and Pathlight VC, and 47th Street Partners. We’re also proud to welcome Karan Mehandru, Managing Director at Madrona, who is joining our board.
This raise gives us the ability to do what we’ve always set out to do:
- Invest deeply in our core platform and unified data model, so companies can go live faster with intelligent systems that adapt as fast as their business grows
- Develop agentic systems that remove the human bottleneck from configuring operations
- Further define a new category around adaptable operations, not static systems
We’re not chasing investor hype cycles. We're building for the next decades-long shift in enterprise software: one where intelligence, automation, and human judgment replace brittle workflows and endless consulting hours. These shifts happen roughly once a generation: from mainframes to client servers, from on-premise to cloud, and now to AI. This is the right moment, with the right technology, to rebuild how operations software works.
An Operations Cloud Built for How Businesses Actually Run
We think of DOSS as the ERP evolved. As an Operations Cloud, DOSS sits around your existing general ledger and systems to connect the flow of goods, dollars, and data across your value chain without ripping anything out. And unlike legacy ERPs that assume your business will mold itself to fit the software, DOSS does exactly the opposite: the system adapts to you.
This matters most for growing, operationally complex businesses: consumer, retail, wholesale, and manufacturing companies that are adding new products, suppliers, SKUs, channels, and fulfillment partners faster than legacy systems can adapt.
In practice, that means:
- A unified operational data model that stays accurate as the business changes and empowers operators to grow faster and more profitably
- Procurement, inventory, and order workflows that evolve without months-long re-implementations
- Clean, trustworthy financials, without forcing ops teams to contort around rigid software
And we’re only getting started. We recently launched Dossbot , an AI copilot that automates changes through chat prompts. It can build reports, fix data errors at scale, and execute bulk changes in seconds. The reason it works is the foundation underneath it: a composable data model that’s ergonomic for both humans and agents.
The architectural shift from “Gen3 Cloud” to “Gen4 Agentic” will embody a future where operations are dually managed by humans and agents alike. This presents a generational opportunity to transform systems of record into true systems of action. In DOSS, implementations become living systems that can self-configure, self-correct, and evolve in lockstep with the business itself. This will unshackle millions of businesses and entrepreneurs to focus on what they do best: making great products for their customers.
Customers Already Seeing Outcomes from DOSS
We didn’t design DOSS in a vacuum. We built it alongside operators who were living these problems every day.
Verve Coffee Roasters cut manually batched orders from 30% to 1% and saved 20+ hours per week across 15+ warehouse team members. In under two months of working with DOSS, they went from stockouts and fragmented data to a unified production system for procurement, inventory, orders, and finance, while keeping accounting and other existing systems intact.
As Verve’s Chief Retail & Ops Officer put it: “DOSS solved this without replacing existing tools and gave us fast insights across the entire organization.”
Meanwhile, plant-based protein bar brand Mezcla saw 2X growth YoY with orders streaming in across D2C, wholesale, and retail. Their patchwork of systems couldn’t keep up: every order required manual data entry, and a single decimal input error could materially cost them in revenue. With DOSS, they automated order-to-cash workflows across orders, freight, and finance, doubling PO processing speed and saving 12+ hours weekly alongside existing tools.
Across every customer story, the pattern is the same: the business didn’t slow down to fit the software. The software adapted to the business.
We’re grateful to our customers, our partners, and our investors for believing in that vision as we advance our software to be truly adaptable with AI, durability, and speed for the future of operations. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to tackle this ambitious vision, and if what we’re building speaks to you, book a demo below or apply to join our team here .
